2014 Toyota Corolla Tourer

2014 Toyota Corolla Tourer Release Date, Prices, Specs, Review. The 2014 Corolla Tourer will be making its official debut at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. The all new Corolla Tourer (known as the Auris in Europe) has been caught by our spy photographers during hot weather testing in Southern Europe. As you can see, the model is heavily camouflaged meaning that its exterior design will be significantly improved when compared to the current generation.

The tenth-generation Corolla, shown above, is covered up pretty well but we still have a hunch that it will look very similar to the full-size Camry. Like the 2012 Camry, the latest Corolla appears to have headlights that slope in the same shape as the Camry’s and the taillights also mimic big brother. The upper and lower grilles look like they’re straight off the new Avalon while the fog lights, while wrapped in black tarp instead of the normal plastic-chrome trim, appear to share styling cues from both the Camry and Avalon.

The back of the 2014 Toyota Corolla is covered up pretty well, making the trunk’s shape tough to make out. It’s unknown what other vehicle Toyota used as inspiration for the trunk’s design but, in keeping with tradition with the rest of the new Corolla’s styling cues, we expect it to be taken from either the Camry or Avalon.
What’s underneath the hood remains under speculation. The current 2012 Toyota Corolla is powered by a 1.8-liter four cylinder engine which is rated at 132 horsepower and rated at 27 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway. We expect that to be carried over to the new Corolla. We also expect the same six-speed automatic transmission will also row through the gears of the 2014 model. A six-speed manual transmission is expected to take over for the Corolla’s five-speed manual currently used though.

When it comes to the engine performance, I have to say that Ford Focus and Toyota Corolla come in the same level. Both car is economical and fuel-efficient too. I don’t think that there should be a competition between these two cars.
